Everyone knows that buying a car is a poor investment. The second you sign on the dotted line you lose money. Depending on the model of car then you may lose more or you could lose less. It’s important to do your homework before you buy so you can get the maximum amount of money when you finally sell it. Two of the biggest factors on how much a car will resell for are reliability and maintenance. Cars that are often extremely reliable and low maintenance go a long way in getting you the maximum amount for your money.

Toyota Tacoma: The Tacoma is made my the Japanese automaker Toyota starting in 1995. It got motor trend truck of the year in 2005. It was engineered with a greater overall quality in handling, comfort, safety and all around better quality when most trucks went for ruggedness and payload capacity. The Toyota was designed with the Canadian and US customers in mind where pickups are mostly used as personal vehicles instead of agricultural, off road and commercial usage.

Mini Clubman: The Mini Cooper Clubman is an estate car made by BMW. It evolved from a small economy car made from the British Motor Corporation from 1959-2000. It is considered an Icon of Britain in the 1960s. The design of a space saving front wheel drive layout influenced an entire generation of car makers. It is the British equivalent of the Volkswagen Beetle and the Italian Fiat 500. The mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century right behind the Ford Model T.

Mitsubishi Lancer: The Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact car made by Japanese powerhouse Mitsubishi Motors since 1973. Between the years 1973 and 2008 the Mitsubishi has sold over 6 million units.

Nissan Versa: The Nissan Versa is now called the Nissan Note and is a mini vehicle made by Nissan that is also extremely versatile.

Toyota Prius: The Prius is a full hybrid electric mid-size hatchback made by Toyota. It is one of the cleanest running cars sold in the United states. It first went on sale in 1997 and was the first mass produced hybrid vehicle. It was made available to the world starting in 2000. It is sold in 80 countries and regions and the most popular in Japan and United States.

Subaru Impreza: The Impreza is a compact automobile made by Subaru and Fuji Heavy Industries starting in 1992. It is now in its fourth generation is one of the most popular cars on the market. Often times there are shortages of Subaru’s as well as waiting lists.
